POETica is a stage for international spoken word poetry performance in Bangor. The event brings spoken word and live literature together in a fresh blend of slam, spoken word and literary poetry.

Our commitment to interactive poetry ensures an open mic at each show for anyone to give their wordsmithery a go, and the POETica crew create new, fun and interactive ways to experience poetry to complement each performance.
POETica collective is made up of local performance poets: phonetic phenomenon Martin Daws; beatbox literatus Dean Nicholls wowing the crowds with his verbal dexterity an unusual beatbox-harmonica stylings ...with valued help from glamourous event organiser Scorchie and high quality offerings from our excellent open micers.
